This doesn't work:- Win7Pro in Fusion Pro 6.0.1 on Mac OSX 10.8.5 on MBPro 13" - WiFi to (either of four devices in an Apple network but probably to nearby main.) wireless to an Airport Extreme (4th Gen) - LAN cable to a DrayTek router (which is DHCP and gateway) - VDSL out to ISP. : Intel(R) PRO/1000 MT Network Connection Here's the IP config:- DHCP acquires a semi-static address from the gateway, and the DNS addresses of my ISP. Shutdown - remove the network adapter - add a network adapter (but gave it same MAC - as old adapter) - still no luck. Netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt - reboot - still no luck Netsh winsock reset - reboot - still fails with bridged Wi-Fi The Win7Pro guest is still a problem - I can leave a "ping -t router" running, and if I switch guest settings for network to bridged Ethernet - hey presto it works - and if switch back to bridged Wi-Fi, then it starts failing. Tried a WinXPPro-SP3 (x86) guest with both bridged Ethernet and bridged Wi-FI - both work, with and without firewall (as do FreeBSD 8.1 and Ubuntu 13.04). to the TimeCapsule) and being part of the flat wireless network which is WiFi down to an Airport Extreme (which provides the wireless network) which is cabled to a DrayTek (which is wireless disabled) that acts as gateway, router and DHCP host - then the guest VM can reach out. Weird thing is - if I plug MBPro into a wired network (to a TimeCapsule) and change the VMware Fusion network settings of the guest to the MBPro LAN port (i.e. Other guests (FreeBSD and Ubuntu) can ping gateway and internet without an issue, using the same VMware Fusion Network settings.įor the Win 7 Pro guest - I tried disabling the Windows Firewalls (private and public together) - no luck. Guest is Win 7 Pro, with VMware Fusion guest Network settings of either AutoDetect or when specifying the MBPro's WiFi port - both of which do acquire gateway and DNS servers - but is unable to ping the router, but can ping host (Mac) and ping other guests - and other items on the local network. MBPro 13" running MacOSX 10.8.5 as host + VMware Fusion 6.0.1 - on a WiFi network
